Remiineralize Teeth Enamel

Remineralize Teeth Enamel

There are lots of factors in order to get the teeth enamel to remineralize. The important point to understand is that the enamel can’t actually regrow. Enamel is created by special cells when tooth is formed. External factors such as sunshine (Vitamin D) and diet make your enamel quicker and thicker.

The strongest substance in the human body is the enamel. It is composed of 96% mineral content. This mineral content can be leeched out of the enamel through poor diet and acidic environments. The enamel does not regrow once it is lost.

Enamel can be strengthened by adding mineral to the enamel matrix through saliva. This process is called remineralization of teeth. Enamel become weakened through stripping of minerals. This process is called de-mineralization. Actually your teeth is in a ballanced state between mineralization and de-mineralization. The cavity formation on your teeth occur when the acids begin to dissolve mineral more quickly than your saliva. So you need to stop or atleast slow down the de-mineralization process and increase the re-mineralization process in order to avoid getting cavities.

What you need to do is avoid the foods and processes that de-mineralize the teeth, and increase the foods and processes that re-mineralize the teeth.

Some important points to remember if any one wishes to remineralize your teeth:

  • Ensure that their teeth are really clean and can remineralize.
  • Use natural toothpastes without glycerine.
  • Encourage saliva production and keep the mouth moist.
  • Ensure that your diet is rich in minerals.
  • Avoid or acidid foods that blocks the mineral absorption.
  • Include foods that are high in Vitamine K2, Vitamine C and Vitamine D, to your diet.
  • Add as much as raw foods as you can.
  • Cereals and grains should be sprouted or soacked to avoid phytic acid which block mineral absorption.
  • Supplement with krill or cod liver oil.

If you follow these simple points your teeth become less sensitive as you strengthen the enamel layer.

It’s not the easiest process to understand or do, but once you get it right, you won’t have a cavity again.
